I searched but didn't see this. If I highlight a part and try to 'Add to bin' Fritzing crashes.

I came across this because I couldn't Export a mystery part and I thought that if I added it to a bin maybe I could export the bin. Any thoughts?

Hi Joe,

Now that I think about it, none of the core parts export. Exporting parts is how you share custom parts--since core parts always come with Fritzing, there is no reason to export (and it prevents circulation of obsolete versions of the core parts).

If you have a mystery part set up in some custom way (like a chip label or pin labels) that you want to preserve, open it up with the parts editor and hit "save as new part". The old parts editor should up to this much.  Now you have a custom part that you can export.
