Latest Version Crashes WinXp SP3

Just started using this, downloaded the latest version.

Windows XP all up to date.

Random crashes with click and drag, no error code, just the "encountered a problem and needs to close" message"

Hi Lakes,

The first thing I would try is to clear your browser cache and download the zip file again. Then extract the contents of the zip to some convenient folder.

Write back if that doesn't help.

Cheers,

Hi Lakes,

Thanks for posting the error message.  It looks like the zip file extraction on your main PC is not correct.  For example, the dll in the posting should have the path

[fritzing unzip folder]/lib/imageformats/qjpeg4.dll

but it looks like the extraction has mangled that path down to a file named

libimageformatsqjpeg4.dll

You might try using a different zip utility.

Cheers,
