Hi. So I created SVG icon for A4988 Pololu board in Inkscape

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7PcbUKxJf6yYjdVQTNTVlg0SGs/edit?usp=sharing

but the text in the file becomes like this in Fritzing

Text in both side is in a same layer using ocrA font. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hi Hunmingo,

Because we can't guarantee that a particular font will be available across machines, we only use Droid or OCRA fonts, which are open source and travel with Fritzing. If you can't live with either of those fonts, you could convert the text to plain svg element.

Please post the svg files, and I will take a look.

Here you go!

With a few exceptions, SVGs in Fritzing must conform to the SVG 1.2 Tiny specification. Text flow () elements are outside that spec. Basically you want to stick with simple elements.

The text editor in this forum eats up angle brackets, so I will use curly brackets instead.
