Can't find the search box

RobertoOppeltFilho 3 years, 10 months ago

I've recently downloaded the new version of fritzing but i can't use the search tool because simply its not there.

i've seen others users in the same version and the search its there, and i have no clue what the problem is.

I've try to download the previews version but no changes at all.

i try with 32 and 64 Bits versions.

Have you resolved this problem? I'm having the same issue, its just not there anymore.

I'm wondering if I clicked some shortcut to disable the search function?

This is the only post I've found with the same issue.

hej there,

this seems to be very odd. did you try to scroll down all the parts-bin symbols? maybe it is just at the end of the list? you can move the parts-bin symboles like you want.

do you try to close the parts bin? maybe if you reopen the bin-window it will have the "search" again. you can open it via: window -> parts

what system do you run?

Hi fa,

I'm running 64 bit windows 7. I didn't know you could move the parts-bin symbols around, but I'm still not finding the search option; its not at the end of the list or anywhere in the middle.

I've even tried older versions that I know worked, and theres still no search.

I tried closeing and re-opening the parts bin, stillno search. Finding parts by hand is impossible!

Thanks for getting back to me!

ok, this is strange ...

please try to locate:

> '"User-Name"\AppData\Roaming\Fritzing' folder and try to rename/delete it.

(in this folder is all your user-parts and other changed stuff saved)

does this solve the problem?

YES! Thank You! The search returned at the bottom of the parts-bins!

Thank you!
