Problem with 0.6.5b for Linux (32-bit)

ukir 7 years, 4 months ago

Downloaded fritzing-0.6.5b.linux.i386

When trying to start, I get following message:

./Fritzing: symbol lookup error: ./Fritzing: undefined symbol: _ZNK9QCheckBox15minimumSizeHintEv

I am running Kubuntu version:

cat /etc/lsb-release

DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu

DISTRIB_RELEASE=11.10

DISTRIB_CODENAME=oneiric

DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 11.10"

any hints ?

Hi Ukir,

Most likely the problem is due to the way Fritzing is launched.  Instead of double-clicking "Fritzing",  double-click "Fritzing.sh".

Cheers,

Hi Jonathan thanks for your comment, I started with cmd line, its still not working but at least I get a clear error message now:

seems I have to update my Qt libs:

./Fritzing.sh

Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40704) with this library (version 0x40800)

Aborted

cheers, Ulf
