Quadratic PCBs

Hi,

I can not get Fritzing to accept a quadratic pcb size. I tried with 175 x 175.

Greetings,

Hi Cashoff,

There is indeed something funny going on with the board size text input, and I'll add this to the issue tracker.

There are two workarounds.  First, zoom in, and with the new resize handles on the board it is possible to drag to exactly the size you want.

The other workaround is to modify the .fz file directly. To do that, rename your sketch file--for the purposes of explanation pretend it's called "sketch.fzz"--to "sketch.zip". Then open the "sketch.fz" file inside the zip with a text editor.  In the text editor, look for "RectanglePCBModuleID" and on the next lines you will see width and height values in mm.  Change those, save the fz file, and copy it back into the sketch.zip folder.  Now rename the file to sketch.fzz and reload it into Fritzing.

Cheers,

Besides that: 0.7.0 is really smooth on my mac (Lion) now!
