Alea64 ensures a dramatic chess game

The musical interface is in this case a chess game equipped with magnetic switches. As soon as the magnetic chess figures enter the "danger zone" it gets dramatic: depending on the field, different switches underneath it activate sequences of notes or sounds to play.

So every chess game gets its very own very incidental composition, just according to the dynamics of the match.

Alea64 was developed by Johann-Jost Dierks within the scope of the "Musical Interfaces" class 2012/13 at FH Potsdam.
