POV display

A row of 32 LEDs driven by ATTiny85's to create a POV display

A row of 32 LEDs driven by ATTiny85's. The POV can be driven by an on-board micro-controller (also a ATTiny85) or an external controller by a single wire serial link. The ATTiny's are programmed to receive data from a serial line. Each one is set to pick out a specific nibble (half-byte) out of the sequence of nibbles that are send from a on-board or external controller.

The photo shows a 12 bit "prototype"
