RS232 Level Adapter

A simple dongle that combines my (corrected) DB9 connector and MAX232 chip.

Handy when working with microcontrollers like the ATmegas. +5V power is provided throught the SIP connector. If you use the MAX3232 chip (much more expensive) you can run off 3 V and interface to 3V microcontrollers.

    Hello, thanks for the components. Anyhow, I think there is a small error in the picture for the schematic. The pin#8 of the MAX232 should be called "R2IN instead of "R1IN". Indeed, there is currenlty two pins with the name "R1IN". (See pin#8 and pin#13) ssinfod
