Welcome

From prototype to product

About Fritzing

Fritzing is an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to take the step from physical prototyping to actual product. We are creating this software in the spirit of Processing and Arduino, developing a tool that allows users to document their Arduino and other electronic-based prototypes, and to create a PCB layout for manufacturing. The complimenting website helps users to share and discuss drafts and experiences as well as to reduce manufacturing costs.

Try it out!

Download and try the latest Fritzing (v0.3.4 released June 23rd, 2009), which is getting more stable and appealing by the day.
We are getting more and more serious and are encouraging you to try it on real projects. Let us know how you're doing!

Participate!

Fritzing can only act as a creative platform if many people are using it as a means of sharing and learning. There are many ways in which you can contribute: Let us know how it fits your needs and how it doesn't, show it to your friends, and (very soon in this spot) start sharing your projects and self-made parts.

Who's behind it

Fritzing is being developed by researchers in the Interaction Design Lab at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, Germany. Learn more about our growing team. Some pictures from our flickr stream:
