I have just downloaded "fritzing.2011.07.11.pc.zip" file for Windows and after extracting it when i execute "Fritzing.exe" this msg appears "This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll has not found. re-install the application may fix this problem"

I redownload fresh copy and reextract it and again i got same msg...???

I also had the same problem and found a round about way to fix it.
Fritzing actually needs 2 dlls callled MSVCR100.dll and MSVCP100.dll
which are both part of the run time libraries for C++ (2010).

For some reason the exectuable linked to at M$ does not always install these libs if you don't have SP3 installed (assuming XP) and I don't intend installing SP3 as I believe it breaks more than it fixes.

Luckily I had GC-Prevue on the same computer and the required files can be found under:

[your_local_drive]:\Program Files\GraphiCode\GC-Prevue 19.2.6\SysW32

Simply copy those two files to the same folder as your Fritzing.exe
and away you go.

If you don't have GC-Prevue, I highly recommend it for checking the Gerber output of Fritzing or indeed any other pcb layout program.

vcredist_x86.exe is a 4.83 MB file so i thought y not to upload and if you have any problem in downloading it from microsoft link then you even can download it feom this link --> Click to download vcredist_x86.zip

NOTE: I uploaded it on my Google site platform which not allow exe filoes to be uploaded so i zip it. please extract it for installing

If you download the above redist and install it, you may need to reboot the machine and try to run fritzing again. Make sure that if you've copied another copy of msvcp100.dll from the internet into the fritzing directory or windows system (system32) directory, you'll need to remove them or else you may get some errors about entry points missing.

As of version 0.6.3, msvcr100.dll is included when you download Fritzing (for Windows).
