Gerber Export
Hi,
the gerber export seems not to match the silkscreen in the pcb view. I overlayed two screenshots and marked the area red: the text in the gerber view is overlayed.

Hi Caschoff,
I suspect this is a bug we just fixed, which is that rotated part labels which should be visible in pcb view are not appearing. The part labels do show up in svg export and gerber export, which is actually correct. If you email your sketch (save as shareable) to info .at. fritzing .dot. org I can confirm this. Alternatively, you can test it yourself by building Fritzing from source.

Hi Jonathan,
i can not build fritzing from the source. But the screenshot above is not from the actual fritzing version, it is from 0.6.2.

Christian
Hi Christian,
It would still be useful if you could email us the sketch.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for sending the sketch.
Here's the story. The gerber is actually correct. In 0.6.2 and earlier, there is a bug with exporting part label text--there is a mismatch between the pcb view and the gerber export. The gerber export is "correct". This bug was fixed in 0.6.3, but unfortunately, a new bug was introduced, which is that rotated part labels disappear from pcb view, but are still correctly exported to gerber. That bug is fixed, but I am not sure when 0.6.4 will be released.
So your best shot would be to build from source. Failing that, I would update to 0.6.3, and control-click on the two parts with overlapping labels. You will be able to see the part label selection highlight rectangles, just not the text. The overlap of the two rectangles will be clear, and you can tease the labels apart. Your gerber export will accurately reflect the new label positions.
