Attribution/remixable content
Hey -- over at the Scratch project (http://scratch.mit.edu) there's been some study as to what the effect of attribution is on creating a collaborative society. It's amazing how much being able to make new work based on others', with attribution back to the original content generators, can do for spurring collaboration!
I think the fritzing online gallery rocks, but I notice that omer is pretty much the only contributor -- I think the fritzing gallery could do well by including "remixed" circuits based on existing fritzing sketches, especially by allowing trackback-style attribution.

Absolutely! In fact, the scratching website is one of our major sources of inspiration. And we're currently working on making the upload open to everyone.
Tracking the history of remixes of a project is a bit tougher though, and currently not on our agenda. Do you feel that it's a necessity?

Well, it may be a technical hurdle, but you are fundamentally crafting a community by making these choices.
Mako Hill, in studying collaborative culture, found that having attribution vastly improved the rate at which people participated and contributed back to a community. In Scratch, this is done via tracking remix history.
Actually, it shouldn't be too hard -- a little input from the user to create the attribution link is all it takes ("this circuit inspired by _")
PS -- I think it's awesome that you're inspired by Scratch!
