This is an adapter board to connect a microSD card to a 6pin SPI header.

This is an adapter board to connect a microSD card to a 2x3 pin SPI header.  This was primarly developed to add a microSD connector to the Seeeduino Arch Pro.  It may work with other Arduino form factor boards, but only if they have 3.3V signal levels and provide 3.3V power to the header.  !!!Many Arduino boards use 5V signaling and provide 5V to the SPI header which may damage a microSD card!!!  Please be certain that the SPI header operates at 3.3V before connecting.

There are only three components to install on this board:

Molex - 0473092651 microSD card connector

Samtec - HLE-103-02-L-DV-BE socket

10uF SMT capacitor

The easiest way to ensure the Samtec socket is properly alligned is to insert a header throught the board and into the connector before and during soldering.  If you are willing to permanently attach the adapter to the board you can leave off the socket and solder the board directly to the 6pin header.
