This project describes how to connect a ESP 8266 (in my case a WeMos D Mini) to the new A6 GSM Module bought from Ali Express.  

To combine the cheep MCU with a cheep GSM module makes your IoT project even better.

I have only concentrated on the Schematic and the code here, so forget the Breadboard and PCB view.
