Use an Arduino with a Laser Transmitter Module for total Noobs 

Use any Ardunio with 5 Volts power and a free digital pin and a laser transmitter like in my case KEYES KY-008 - 650nm Laser Transmitter Module.

My setup is:

- Arduino Leonardo compatible board

- KEYES KY-008 - 650nm Laser Transmitter Module

- 330 Ohm resistor

- 3 wires

- a small breadborad
