Raspberry Pi, LED, DHT22
I am attempting to use a SSR in conjunction with my Raspberry Pi to turn a strip of LEDs on and off. I also want to be able to take temperature and humidity readings from a DHT22 with the same Raspberry Pi.
I created this diagram based on how I think it should be wired. This is my first try at any type of electronics so I wanted to get some insight before I connect up anything. Does this wiring look correct? I am mostly concerned about the SSR part. I have a SainSmart 2 Channel 5V Solid State Relay Module Board. Can I use the 5V power from the Raspberry Pi to switch the relay? The LED strip I have is powered by three double A batteries and already has a resistor in it. Can I just cut the + wire and hook it up to the other side of the SSR?
